Reviews from Readers of ‘Loved by Grace, toward A Graceful Purpose’

I recently read the book “Loved by Grace, toward a Graceful Purpose,” written by Lizanne Hattingh.

The book is an honest and moving account of the author’s personal experience with a narcissistic husband, stretching over many years.

Lizanne guides the reader on an emotional journey through the challenges of a toxic relationship, where manipulation, emotional and physical abuse, as well as erosion of self-worth play a major role.

What makes the book special is that it doesn’t just tell a story, but serves as a practical guide. She explains what narcissistic/abusive behavior looks like and how it can affect people’s emotional well-being. She also offers valuable advice on how to recognize such relationships, set boundaries and ultimately gain control of your life again. Her writing style is accessible and sincere, which makes it easy for readers to identify with her. It is also especially useful for people who find themselves in similar situations, as it offers insight and hope. It is not only a story of pain, but also one of hope, growth and recovery.

I served in the South African Police for 37 years and dealt mainly with abused victims. I found that this book contains substantially valuable information for people who want to understand more about narcissistic and/or abusive relationships; as well as for people who find themselves in similar situations and are trying to escape and heal from it.

It can also serve as a guide for family/friends of abused women, law enforcement agents and support groups for such victims.

I would definitely recommend the book to any women regardless of whether you are in such a relationship or not, as there are many women in society who work or live with those individuals who find themselves trapped in abusive relationships and need help to be freed from it.

Good luck on your journey in life and thank you for your contribution to informing and even saving many others in similar situations.

I’m currently reading Lizanne’s book. It is well written, easy to understand, very informative, extremely helpful. The procedures to follow are so precise and the step by step guidance is detailed. This empowers women/men who are going through similar trauma. It gives a person hope in what seems to be a hopeless, lost situation.

Lizanne has left no stone unturned to empower, equip and motivate women/men who fall victim in these situations. There is life after this. She equips you with new skills and tools to help one navigate this journey after trauma. Highly recommend this book to anyone needing help. All your questions will be answered…your uncertainty will disappear.

I was utterly spellbound by what you have written.  I think you have phenomenal courage. I love that you have taken the horror and turned it into something that can not only bring good to others in similar situations, but also to gently show them God is the way and that He is there waiting.

Book Introduction

Dating Made Safe is a guide to assist males and females of all ages, involved in the dating space, to increase their awareness and develop skills which will enable them to identify, recognise and deploy strategies to avoid sexual predators when meeting new people. The above can also be applied in work, social or family settings with people you already know. It does this by explaining the mindset, motivators and behaviour patterns of sexual predators. If you can see them for what they are you can keep yourself safe.

Awareness is 90% of self-protection

This book arms the reader with everything they need to recognize, avoid and evade sexual predators that are present and active in all areas of society.

Statistics are presented to highlight the severity of sexual crimes.

Definitions of the various sexual crimes are unpacked in detail to dispel any doubt as to what constitutes a sexual crime.

A guide to an understanding of sexual predators’ behaviour patterns and psychological motivators is presented.

Awareness skills development exercises, how to set personal boundaries, escape and evasion tactics as well as simple practical self-defence techniques are included and the book concludes with a survivor’s checklist.

Everything needed to empower and enable the reader to stay safe when connecting and interacting with people, be it in the workplace, educational institutions, while dating and within social or even family circles
